Statement After graduating in 1995, my paintings were abstract with ambiguous figurative elements. The work has since developed in a more figurative direction whilst retaining the painterly qualities of the earlier abstract work. Current work explores the many aspects of play. Duncan Allen is a multi-disciplinary artist from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, currently training to be a wrestler (under the name Doctor Cravern) and recently presented video at Nottingham Contemporary.
