Daniel is a designer/maker specialising in Ceramics and Sculpture. He is particularly interesting in crystalline glazes and their contemporary application. For Daniel design is about creating a sense of wholeness through lots of little things which he calls ‘satisfactions’. He believes that it is these details that when understood and realised by the audience help to convey that same joyous sense of discovery that you as the designer first set out to achieve. His work is influenced by the likes of Mark Brazier-Jones, Kate Malone and the works of Keith Critchlow and Carl J. Jung. Having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2015 he has since showcased his work at New Designers, Backlit Gallery and Chelsea Town Hall. He has just recently completed a ceramics residency set up between The Harley Gallery in Worksop and UK Young Artists organisation where he has had a chance to develop new work for his next upcoming shows. He will next be exhibiting at Art in Clay at Hatfield House and The Mall Exhibition with the Society of Designer Craftsmen in London this August.
