Jazz Glenn is a Nottingham-based artist and Photography graduate of Nottingham Trent University (2019). His photographic practice is an exploration, self-reflection and response primarily to sociopolitical issues surrounding identity of queerness and representation, race, heritage and culture in Britain.
He was commissioned by Broadway Gallery for his ‘Pride Portrait’ series in 2019, producing a solo exhibition exploring queer representation in gallery spaces and is currently undertaking a graduate residency with Backlit Gallery, Nottingham (2019).
Glenn has won awards including the Genesis Imaging Portfolio Award and the New Art Exchange Central Gallery Exhibition Award (2019) and has been exhibited in galleries including: The New Art Exchange Nottingham, The Truman Gallery London, Broadway Gallery Nottingham, OFF Bratislava Slovakia, The Nottingham Contemporary, Photo Parlour Nottingham and Rough Trade Nottingham.
Jazz is one of 7 artists that have been selected to participate in BACKLIT’s Graduate Studio Programme.
