Luca Collier
Luca is a Masters of Research student at the University of Nottingham. His research project focuses on Queer Indigenous performance in the United States, and how contemporary artists explore their traditional roles around sex sexuality and gender. This project seeks to show how Indigenous knowledge is not lost or stagnant, but is continuously evolving, while remaining inseparable from Indigenous people themselves. His other research interests involve work by trans, working class and disabled artists, textile work and ceramics, and developing immersive and interactive display practices. He is completing a placement as the Assistant Curator at BACKLIT Gallery.
