Andrea Jaeger

Andrea JAEGER is a multimedia artist based in Nottingham and Berlin whose work challenges the dominant image of photography as a fixed object of visual representation. Led by sensory fieldwork research in photographic labs and factories, JAEGER explores sensing practices guided by touch and sounds. Her practice ranges from mixed media installations with sound, video, printed matter and photographic paper to participatory art addressing topics such as co-production, disruption and soft matter. Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in the UK, US, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark. JAEGER was awarded the prestigious Attenborough Prize 2015 and is currently an AHRC funded PhD Doctoral candidate at NTU’s Fine Art Department.
