Craig Humpston
Craig Humpston is an artist, illustrator, maker, and gallery technician. Since completing his fine art BA in 2003, he has worked installing international exhibitions at galleries and art festivals across the UK as a technical manager. His practice explores fictional narratives through themes of humour, absurdity, and iconography, taking form through refined renders of cartoonish imagery. Playing with materiality, Humpston’s works are made through a combination of different processes from digital, 3D models, hand drawing, screen printing and painting.
Humpston has been published in graffiti magazines, stickerbomb books and in role playing games. Commercial works include newspaper illustrations, sign writing, album covers and murals. Exhibitions include, not so boring drawing, Dia los Muetros, Art Duals. He has also self-published zines Trunk Thumper, Second Hand Shandy and comics Puny Futures and See thing different.
