Sequence is a Nottingham-based community interest company making photography more accessible, inclusive and meaningful. Founded in 2019, we create opportunities for people to explore photography, develop their creative practice and connect with others through a shared interest in making and looking at photographs.

Working from Backlit Studios, we provide access to black and white and colour darkrooms, alongside workshops, talks, social events and shared learning opportunities. We welcome all approaches to photography, from mobile phones to traditional film, believing that meaningful photography begins with ideas rather than equipment. Our aim is to build a supportive photographic community where everyone can participate, experiment and learn.
