My practice explores the relationship between the ‘real’, pre-existing built environment, and the imagined or potential. I interrogate the mundane architectural landscape through biro drawing. Influenced by buildings which are a regular occurrence within my daily life at University, I aim to reevaluate the appearance of the architecture through drawing and photoshop techniques. The transitionary nature, and lack of identity or value typically attached to architectural ‘space’, intrigues me. Acquiring insight from the built surroundings that, to me, exist as ‘space’, I manipulate, integrate and overlap the primary images in order to encourage a reinterpretation.
