Suzanne Golden

Mental health and social perception related to physical appearance, language and behaviour has always played a huge role in her artistic practice and personal life. With a focus on process and mark-making including techniques; punch needle, drawing and papercutting. The work is often naïve in parts, simple but bold, putting on a front, wearing a mask, translating to the vulnerability of people and the fragile nature of acceptance, and belonging.

Suzanne recently received a Developing Your Own Practice Arts Council Grant and is developing a new body of work exploring the neurological effects of skin conditions.
