Joe is a Fine Art graduate from De Montfort University, studying for both his BA and MA before completing a PhD in Fine Art Practice in 2023. His research practice focused on the development of lighted artworks to be displayed in increasingly bright urban environments. This is reflected within his artistic practice wherein he combines found objects and lighted elements to create sculptural installations which reference their urban settings.

Alongside his work in the arts, Joe is also a Senior Investment Manager for The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the largest funder of UK heritage. Within this role, he is able to support a range organisations to deliver projects which preserve the diverse heritage of the UK.
