NAE & BACKLIT Funded Studio Residency
BACKLIT and New Art Exchange are excited to introduce: Funded Studio Residency for a Global Ethnic Majority Creative.
Studio Residency programme encompasses up to five months of fully funded studio space, comprehensive mentoring support, and a substantial £2,500 bursary. This residency, spanning from 1 November 2023 to March 2024, is dedicated to advancing the careers of Global Ethnic Majority artists within the East Midlands who haven't had the chance of developing their studio practice.
The opportunity is open to artists who identify as part of the Global Ethnic Majority, encompassing individuals of Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous heritage from the global south, or those who have been racialized as ethnic minorities.
